Emdecon Inc. was founded with a clear purpose: to provide professional, respectful cleanup services during some of life’s most difficult situations.
Emdecon Inc. was founded with a clear purpose: to help people restore properties during situations that can feel overwhelming.
In 2022, I began my career in commercial cleaning, where I developed a strong foundation in precision, accountability and attention to detail. About a year later, I launched my own residential and commercial cleaning business, focused on providing dependable service and leaving every space better than I found it.
As the business evolved, I found myself increasingly drawn to more complex work. Hoarding, trauma scenes, biohazard contamination and severely affected properties required more than conventional cleaning, they required specialized training, equipment, decontamination procedures and an understanding of how contamination can affect an entire property.
That experience became the foundation for Emdecon.
As we encountered increasingly complex property conditions, our capabilities continued to grow. Water damage could uncover mould. Demolition could reveal asbestos. Sewage losses could involve both structural damage and biological contamination. Fire damage could leave behind water, soot, smoke and persistent odours.
Today, Emdecon is a property restoration and environmental remediation company serving Ottawa and communities throughout Eastern Ontario. Our team responds to water and flood damage, fire and smoke damage, sewage backups, mould, asbestos, biohazard contamination and complex property losses.
Although the company has grown, the values behind it haven’t changed. We believe technical expertise and genuine compassion belong together. Our goal is to restore safe, healthy spaces while making difficult situations easier for the people experiencing them.
